Job Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Full-Stack Engineer with a focus on performance and service monitoring to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining systems to monitor platform performance, ensure reliability, and support real-time features. Working closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams, you’ll help deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for our AI-driven coaching platform. This role requires expertise in Node.js, Next.js, React, Python, WebSocket, event-driven architectures, and security compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27018).
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Monitoring: Design and implement monitoring systems to track platform performance, latency, and reliability, using tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar.
- Service Monitoring: Develop dashboards and alerting systems to ensure service uptime, identify bottlenecks, and maintain high availability.
- Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain web and mobile applications using Next.js, React, and Node.js, ensuring performant and responsive features.
- Backend & API Development: Create and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Python, with a focus on scalability and real-time monitoring.
- WebSocket & Event-Driven Architecture: Implement WebSocket-based systems and event-driven architectures to support real-time monitoring and data flow.
- Security Compliance: Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure monitoring systems meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 27018 standards, with secure data handling practices.
- Collaboration: Work with product, design, and engineering teams to translate monitoring requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance platform performance and reliability through proactive auditing and optimization of monitoring systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of full-stack development experience, with hands-on work in performance monitoring, observability, or real-time systems.
- Tech Stack Expertise:
- Frontend: Proficiency in Next.js and React for building responsive, performant user interfaces and monitoring dashboards.
- Backend: Strong knowledge of Node.js for scalable APIs and microservices, with experience in Python for data processing and monitoring tools.
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with performance and service monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) and WebSocket/event-driven systems.
- Compliance Knowledge: Basic understanding of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 27018 standards, with experience in secure coding and data protection.
- Integration Experience: Experience with Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations, including bot development and webhooks for notifications.
- DevOps and Cloud: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred), with knowledge of cloud security and monitoring best practices.
- Agile Development: Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Git and Jira in collaborative environments.
